Shaunak Desai is a civil litigator whose practice focuses on insurance defence.  He readily handles cases involving complex liability and catastrophic injuries and regularly appears in the Superior Court of Justice. Shaunak is eager to litigate novel legal issues and takes pride in providing clients with sound legal advice, excellent service and effective advocacy.

After articling at a boutique insurance defence firm, Shaunak went on to practice at a full-service firm in Saskatchewan, focusing on civil litigation, municipal tax enforcement and criminal defence. Upon returning to Toronto, he went on to practice in family and estates law before specializing in insurance law.

Shaunak regularly volunteers with the University of Toronto and assists students in navigating their careers.
