David Olevson

David J. Olevson joined Zuber & Company LLP in 2018 and joined the Partnership in 2021. David practices exclusively in civil litigation. His practice focuses on commercial and insurance litigation, specializing in the fields of bodily injury, property damage, occupiers’ liability, subrogation, construction, commercial disputes, and landlord/tenant matters. David is recognized for his ability to engage a wide variety of litigation techniques to ensure a vigorous yet cost effective representation for his clients.

With respect to commercial and insurance litigation, David has appeared before all levels of court in Ontario. His expertise in the areas of bodily injury, construction and subrogation are borne from over a decade of experience and is evident through David’s ability to engage efficient litigation strategies to resolve matters.

David also leads the Firm’s Landlord and Tenant Board practice, primarily assisting landlords and property managers in disputes before the Landlord and Tenant Board. David and his team are effectively able to navigate the LTB from initial Applications through to enforcement proceedings, including evictions and garnishments.

David graduated from Huron University College at the University of Western Ontario in 2010 with an Honours Degree in Political Science. He then attended Queen’s University Law School and spent a semester abroad at the University of Groningen in The Netherlands. David graduated in 2013 and was called to the Ontario bar in 2014.

When not in Court, David can be found travelling to countries around the world, including Australia, New Zealand, and throughout Europe. Having been born and raised in the Toronto area, David is an avid Toronto Maple Leafs and Toronto Raptors fan.
